thanksgiving--yea I heard that too...I actually learned about those women in 1 of my college classes...they called them 'wet nurses' ....they also hired soon to be and new mothers to nurser babies in orphanages and hospitals! ...

I always attribute that to them having lived in orphanages before we adopted them, but who knows?! Either way, I wouldn't have parented any differently than I did no matter the cause.
