postmature
A postmature baby is a baby born at 42 weeks or more. Postmaturity can be a problem because the placenta becomes less effective, and the baby may be larger and less pliable. Labour is often induced to avoid complications.
Postmature baby - Pregnancy of more than 42 weeks gestation.
Postpartum blues - Mild depression after delivery.
Postpartum depression - Depression after delivery.
Postmature babies are born at the very end, or past, the normal length of pregnancy.
Postmature Infant - An infant that is born after 42 weeks of pregnancy due to a postdate pregnancy. Postmature infants are alert at birth and generally look mature.

However, a pregnancy is considered to have reached term between 38 and 42 weeks. Babies born before the 37 week mark are considered premature, while babies born after the 42 week mark are considered postmature.
