After suffering with postnatal depression after the birth of my son Elliott, I'm now worried that at 16 weeks with my 2nd child I could be starting to suffer from depression already. I feel constantly lonely and down about my appearance etc.

The researchers used the Edinburgh Postnatal Depression Scale to assess the mothers' levels of depression and the Bayley Scales of Infant and Toddler Development to assess cognitive and language development in their children.
