Testosterone, the female hormone
As women get older, menopause becomes inevitable. Estrogen, widely considered THE female hormone, falls and is eventually absent. Progesterone, the OTHER female hormone, likewise falls victim to menopause.

Testosterone
A steroid hormone produced by the Leydig cells of the testicles (and to a lesser extent the ovaries and adrenal glands) that promotes the development of secondary male sexual characteristics.

Testosterone -- The male hormone responsible for the formation of secondary sex characteristics and for supporting the sex drive. Testosterone is also necessary for spermatogenesis.
TET -- See Tubal Embryo Transfer.

THYROID GLAND: The endocrine gland in the front of the neck that produces thyroidhormones to regulate the body?s metabolism.

Testosterone: The main hormone secreted by the testicles and responsible for male characteristics, such as beard growth, deep voice, and sperm maturation.

Testosterone-This is a male hormone (androgen) that induces and maintains male secondary sex characteristics. Testosterone is produced in the testes.
Toxemia-See pre-eclampsia.

LH is necessary for spermatogenesis (Sertoli cell function) and for production of testosterone (Leydig cell function). In the female, LH is necessary for normal function of FSH and for triggering ovulation.

Leydig Cell: The testicular cell that produces the male hormone testosterone. The Leydig cell is stimulated by LH from the pituitary gland.

Infertility can result from disorders of the testicles themselves or an abnormality affecting the glands in the brain that produce testosterone and other hormones that control the testicles (the hypothalamus or pituitary glands).

Androgen A hormone, such as testosterone, that stimulates the male sex drive. Andrology A specialty focusing on male infertility in assisted reproductive technology (ART).

The doctor may want to measure the man's testosterone levels to see if they are high enough. Basal body temperature (BBT) can be measured at home using a special thermometer to help predict the most fertile days.

Also used via injection to trigger ovulation after some fertility treatments, and used in men to stimulate testosterone production. Hydrosalpinx: Blocked, dilated, fluid-filled fallopian tube.

Testicular/epididymal sperm aspiration (TESA) - Sperm are extracted from the testis or epididymis with a needle.

Male reproductive hormones, such as testosterone. The male hormones are produced throughout early life in minute concentrations.

The difference in fat location comes from the sex hormones estrogen and testosterone. Fat cells are formed in the developing fetus during the third trimester of pregnancy, and later at the onset of puberty, when the sex hormones "kick in.
