Third Trimester
The third trimester is the final phase of pregnancy. During this time, you might have to go to the bathroom more often and may have heartburn and swelling. This is a good time to think about bottle feeding versus breastfeeding.

 


Third Trimester:
Full term pregnancy is considered 40 weeks counted from the first day of a your last period. This is broken down into weeks, and divided into three equal parts called trimesters.

Any way you count it, I'm definitely in my third trimester. Some call this the 'home stretch.' I call it the 'stretch that makes you wonder why you ever wanted children in the first place.' Everything is larger, bumpier, and generally less manageable.

The third trimester is a time of rapid growth -- for you and your baby. You might gain a great deal of weight -- and for good reason. Only 31 weeks, your baby weighs in at about 3 pounds 5 ounces (1590 g), and measures over 18 inches (46 cm) tall.

The third trimester is very joyful, since meeting the baby is just around the corner, but at the same time, your belly is big and round, and sex becomes cumbersome as you approach the final days of your pregnancy.
