There will be an internal (pelvic) exam to check your cervix and uterus. They will also do a measurement of your pelvis to see how roomy it is to accommodate delivering your baby.

Urinary tract infections can be pretty sneaky in pregnancy, so any midline pain may invite a urinalysis or urine culture. An exam of your cervix to check for premature dilatation, although unlikely, may be prudent as well.

Chemistry profiles were within normal ranges and hepatic profiles revealed no significant abnormalities. Urinalysis was normal and TORCH studies revealed no evidence of congenital infection.

There are three types of Cholestasis of pregnancy and all can be treated through medication. All three types of cholestasis involve the liver, and blood tests and urinalysis can easily detect its presence.
