Competitive Tender A method of purchasing new issues of Treasury bills, notes, and bonds in which the investor specifies the yield at which they are willing to purchase the security.
Noncompetitive tender Offer by an investor to purchase Treasury securities at a price equivalent to the weighted average discount rate or yield of accepted competitive bids in a Treasury auction. Noncompetitive tenders are always accepted in full.
Non-Competitive Tender One of the two bid processes for buying debt issuances. Non-competitive tender is for small investors, while competitive tender is for large institutional investors.
