Continuous Net Settlement - The continuous net settlement is also known as a CNS.

Continuous net settlement: The offsetting of payments and certificates when multiple trades involving a particular security have the same two parties on opposing sides. Used by registered clearing agencies.

Continuous net settlement (CNS)
Method of securities clearing and settlement using a clearing house, which matches transactions to securities available, resulting in one net receive or deliver position at the end of the day.
