Marked-to-Market An arrangement whereby the profits or losses on a futures contract are settled up each day.

 


Marked to Market
At the end of each business day the open positions carried in an account held at a brokerage firm are credited or debited funds based on the settlement price of the open positions that day.

Marked-to-Market - Process of re-evaluating all open positions with the current market prices. These new values then determine margin requirements.

Marked-To-Model - A valuation method using financial models for level 2 assets, which are less liquid assets that are hard to value due to an absence of a readily available market.

The calculation of the value of a market traded position based on the settlement prices for the day.
