Forex Pivot Points Calculator
All pivot point levels are calculated based on the currency exchange price at 5 PM New York time on the prior day.

Pivot points can be used in two ways:
The first way is for determining overall market trend: if the pivot point price is broken in an upward movement, then the market is bullish, and vice versa.

Pivot Levels
Pivot levels are created when price fails in the same area on several occasions. Once this level is breached it is common for price to come back and test the same price area, which then reverses its role. i.e.

Pivot - a reversal of direction in price. For example, lets say for three days IBM has made new highs and new lows. Then, on the fourth day, it makes a lower high and a lower low. That is a one day high pivot.
