A Point & Figure Chart
Point and Figure (P&F) charts date back to at least 1880's and differ from other stock charts as it does not plot price movement from left to right within fixed time intervals. It also does not plot the volume traded.
4) Point & Figure Chart: indicate rising and falling prices; x denoting rising prices and O for falling prices.
Box Size: In Point & Figure charts, it is the price value of one "X" or "O". An X is shown when prices rise by the box size, and an O is shown when prices fall by the box size. Increasing the box size filters smaller price movements.
In the context of Point & Figure Charts, the box size is the minimum price change that must occur for a given period before a mark (an X or an O) is added to the chart.
