Resting order
A limit order to buy at a price below or to sell at a price above the prevailing market that is being held by a floor broker. Such orders may either be day orders or open orders.

An order placed with a condition or qualifer but not yet executed.

Resting Order: An order to buy at a price below or to sell at a price above the prevailing market that is being held by a floor broker. Such orders may either be day orders or open orders.

Market If Touched: Resting order with the floor broker that becomes a market order to be executed if the trigger price is traded.
Market Maker: A person or firm authorized to create and maintain a market in an instrument.

Regardless of what may be happening on the intraday charts, the order to buy or sell based on a Traders Trick Entry must be in place and waiting as resting orders.

For those traders who have difficulty "pulling the trigger," putting resting orders in the market will get you into or out of the trade.

Then, in light of the size of my margin account, I tried to select those markets that appeared to have the greatest potential, and I placed order entry stops just above or below the hooks. These were resting orders in the market.
