The Series 7 Exam is a required examination for all who wish to buy or sell securities, and who wish to become registered representatives in the securities trade.

 


Series 7: The General Securities Registered Representative License entitles the holder to sell all types of securities products with the exception of commodities futures.

Most Series 7 license holders also hold the Series 63 license, which satisfies similar requirements for state-level securities regulators.
