After a spike, there is often a longer candlestick - bullish after strong downtrend, or bearish after strong uptrend. Not every time, but it happens far more often than not.

Because of the spike in gas prices, there will be extra attention to the PPI and CPI reports on Thursday and Friday, as well as the FOMC announcement on Tuesday.

Spike - a breakout price probe that occurs towards the latter part of the session such that it cannot be confirmed as having been accepted or rejected as either a Selling Tail or a Buying Tail.

Recent spikes are easier to scan for using a 5 day average, while a growth in the long term volume trend can be easier found using 50 or 100 day averages. Also higher ratio volumes are more common in the 5 day average than in the 100 day average.

Strong spike on the day of the pattern confirmation is a strong indicator in support of the potential for this model. Puncture volume should be significantly above average volume for the duration of the scheme.

The network often sees large spikes in viewership on days of major market moves.

A "typical" McClellan Oscillator pattern series consists of consecutive formation of a Complex Bottom, a Middle Spike, and a Buy Spike.
