The probability distribution used to test the hypothesis that a random sample of n observations comes from a normal population with a given mean.

 


Marginal Significance Level of Test-Statistics: The probability distribution used to test the hypothesis that the beta coefficient does not equal zero.

The numbers in brackets are t-statistics and suggest that the relationship between PBV ratios and both variables in the regression are statistically significant.

The third column to fifth column of Table 2 list the average profits of zero-position, insider-buy portfolio and insider-sell portfolio and their corresponding t-statistics respectively.
