If you think that a target price means the price at which you sell, you're wrong. Target prices are used as the next milestone for measurement as a company grows.

 


Target price
Definition:
In the context of takeovers, the price at which an acquirer aims to buy a target firm. In the context of options, the price of the underlying security at which an option will become in the money.

Target prices are the anticipated prices that investors project a given stock or security will trade at within a specified time period. The target price can relate to both buying and selling stock other types of securities.

Target price provides an important indication of the potential price move shows that this scheme. Consider whether the target price for this model is sufficient to ensure adequate returns on your costs (such as commissions) are ignored.

Target price - An expected selling or buying price. For long and short hedges with futures - Futures Price + Expected Basis. For puts - Futures Price - Premium + Expected Basis. For calls - Futures Price + Premium + Expected Basis.

Target Price: A price forecast usually projected from the measured move out of a chart pattern.

The first target price level is “Resistance_1', a previous price reversal point. Next we expect some resistance from the 50-day simple moving average.
