Thrusting Pattern
The thrusting pattern is a bearish candlestick pattern that occurs in a downtrend. It is considered to be similar to the candlestick neck line patterns known as the 'on neck' and the 'in neck' patterns.

The Thrusting pattern is almost an 'On Neck' or an 'In Neck' pattern and resembles the Meeting Line pattern, also.

The thrusting candle is supposed to act as a bearish continuation candle, but actually performs as a bullish reversal 57% of the time. That is what I call "near random.

Bearish Thrusting Pattern is characterized by a white candlestick that closes in the prior black real body, however still under the middle of the prior session's real body. Bearish Thrusting Pattern is a bearish signal in a downtrend.

Identification
A black day is followed by a white day which gaps in the direction of the trend and closes below the midpoint of the black day.

Thrusting Line
In a downtrend, a relatively big black body is followed by a white body with a lower opening price than the black candle’s closing price. The white body closes below the midpoint of the black body, not forming a piercing line.

Odds also improve if the thrusting bars run into other forms of S/R that allow cross-verification for the entry level. Stay defensive during the trade.

Hence the thrusting motion up resembles the upward move of the markets. Also, when bulls run together, they do so without looking back and go full steam ahead.
