Trend Lines
Trend lines are probably the most common form of technical analysis. They are probably one of the most underutilized ones as well.

V-trend
The v-trend statistic of a stock is the percent change of a stock's value in a day compared to the percent change in a related index's percent change for that day, and averaged over a certain period of days.

Trend lines are an easy and widespread technical analysis approach for the assessment of entry and exit investment timing. To a trend line historical data, typically in the format of a chart.

Trendlines will reverse their roles if broken - in accordance with the principle that the support and resistance levels will assume opposite roles once violated.

Trend Indicators
In technical analysis, the primary purpose of a trend indicator is to objectively identify the direction of a trend by smoothing out the volatile nature of the price action.

Trend correction: the movement directed against a direction of the previous trend. The given movement does not surpass the previous trend.

An uptrend line has a positive slope and is formed by connecting two or more low points. The second low must be higher than the first for the line to have a positive slope.

Uptrend: A succession of higher highs and higher lows.
Downtrend: A succession of lower highs and lower lows.

The Trend Model
The Trend Model is an uncomplicated moving-average crossover system that is designed to catch medium- and long-term trend changes relatively early in the move.

Up if successive Lows are higher than their predecessors.
