Tweezer tops or bottoms
Highs or lows of a trend that are duplicated in back to back trading days or within the next few sessions. The name is derived from the price movement to those levels forming a tweezer-like visual.
Tweezer Tops Pattern:
Two or more candlesticks with similar tops.
Interpretation: A reversal signal.
Tweezer Tops
The highs of two or more candlesticks are at the same price level. This indicates rejection of higher prices and is therefore seen as a top reversal.
Tweezer Top - Bearish Candlestick Formation
A tweezer (kenuki) top occurs when the highs of two or more candlesticks are equal in a series of candlesticks. The high of these days can also coincide with the open or close.
Tweezer Tops and Bottoms
Two or more candles with tops or bottoms at the same price level indicate resistance or support. The first candle is preferably the bigger candle; the second is the smaller one.
