VPT

Volume-price trend (VPT) (sometimes price-volume trend) is a technical analysis indicator intended to relate price and volume in the stock market. Trend indicators measure trend direction.

Volume Price Trend (VPT) In which a running sum is maintained when a day's total volume is added if the market closes positive or the day's total volume is subtracted if the market closes lower. See On-balance volume.

Volume Price Trend Indicator - VPT
A technical indicator consisting of a cumulative volume line that adds or subtracts a multiple of the percentage change in share price trend and current volume, depending upon their upward or downward movements.
