AURORE
A hybrid grape variety produced in the 19th century by French nurseryman Albert Seibel and still used, especially in the eastern U.S. for sparkling wine production. Sometimes spelled Aurora.

 


AURORE: Hardy, early sweet French-american hybrid grape widely grown in New York State (U.S.A), but no longer recommended. Fruit ripens very early in late August to early September but is highly susceptible to bunch rots.

AURORE:
French-american hybrid grape widely grown in New York State (U.S.A). Used to produce fruity white wines of mild intensity usually vinified with a dry finish and also good quality sparkling wines.

Flowery: a nebulous term referring to an indeterminate fragrance akin to flowers in general. Mosel wines are flowery, as are some Chenin blancs, Seyval bIancs, and Aurores.
