Balthazar
A large format Champagne bottle, equivalent to sixteen standard bottles.
Barrel
A relatively small wooden (oak) container for fermenting and/or aging wine. Generally 60 gallons in size.

 


Balthazar: An oversized bottle which holds the equivalent of 12 to 16 standard bottles.

Barrel aged: Wines that are fermented in containers such as stainless steel, and then placed into wooden barrels for maturation.

A huge bottle that contains a ridiculous 12 litres of Champagne, which is the equivalent of 16 bottles. You'll most likely need some help drinking one of these.
