In this latter region it is used to produce a sought after wine, "Blanc de Morgex et de La Salle".
BLANC DU VALDIGNE: Has several synonym names including Blanc de Morgex. Indigenous variety grown in the Val d'Aosta region of Italy. Claimed to be free of phylloxera attack in its high altitude, rocky habitat.
Some good white wines of the region are the "Blanc de Morgex et La Salle", produced with Blanc de Morgex grape, the refined "Chambave Moscato", also produced as passito or "Flétri".
