Blanquette de Limoux: dating from 1938, this appellation describes a sparkling wine made from the variety Mauzac using the Méthode Champenoise.

A particular mention goes to sparkling wines Crémant de Limoux and Blanquette de Limoux.

Has the synonym names Malvoisie in the Languedoc region of France and Blanquette in Australia. Ripens in October and susceptible to rot.

DORADILLO: Australian alias name for the Jaen variety used for red wine production in central Spain and also Portugal. The grape is also confusingly known as the Blanquette in the Hunter Valley.
