Candylike Tasting term referring to the perfumed fresh fruit aromas of the grape. Canopy management Canopy management relates to the different processes used in the care of the leaf canopy such as thinning, pruning and trimming.
CANDYLIKE Refers to the perfumed fresh fruit aromas and flavors of the grape which can be attractive in wines made for early consumption. These include pink Rose style, "nouveau" Beaujolais etc.
PERFUMED (see CANDYLIKE, FLOWERY) Synonym for "floral". Implies also a degree of extra residual sugar. PETROL (see DIESEL above). PETILLANT (see SPRITZY below). PLUMP Less than "fat", but otherwise nearly a synonym.
In the mouth you get juicy, almost candylike (jolly rancher) wild berry flavors, along with mild earth, a touch of tar and sweet tobacco. Clean, with a polished, smooth texture.
