ERBALUCE
A minor white-wine grape grown in the Piedmont region of Italy. Used to make a sweet, full-bodied white from the dried grapes, called Passito, and also a dry white in the conventional manner.

 


Erbaluce, white wine grape from northern Piedmont. Erbalucedi Caluso DOC comprised of thirty five villages around the town of Caluso.

ERBALUCE: Minor grape grown in the Piedmont region of Italy and used to make dry white wine. Better known for the full-bodied, sweet wine versions made with dried grapes, (i.e: Passito). Also a fortified version with 16% alcohol, (i.e: Liquoroso).

ERBALUCE: Minor grape grown in northern Piedmont, a region of Italy, and used to make dry, eg. "Erbaluce di Caluso Cariola", and sweet white wines. Best known for the full-bodied, sweet wine versions made with dried grapes, eg: "Caluso Passito".

Worth of note are the ones produced with Cortese grape, in particular the "Gavi", the truly interesting Arneis, Favorita, Erbaluce used to produce an excellent passito wines as well as the almost unknown grapes Timorasso and Nas-cetta.
