Graciano is a variety once widespread in Rioja and Navarra but loosing favour because of its low yields. It shows a good colour and a fragrant bouquet as well as an ability to age well.

GRACIANO: Late-budding red-wine grape found in the Rioja region of Spain. Sensitive to diseases such as "Downy Mildew". Has the alias name of Xeres in California and Morrastel in France.

The main red berried grape of Rioja is Tempranillo, which together with Garnacha, Graciano and Mazuelo make the blend for red wines of the region.

Tempranillo is the main red grape of Rioja, where it typically is blended with graciano and mazuelo.

The wine is a blend of Tempranillo 90%, Garnacha 8%, and Graciano 2%. It's a full-bodied red with dark fruit aromas with intriguing earthy, dried mushroom, mocha, and reassuring smoky oak notes.

Tempranillo provides a deeply coloured, dry, long-lasting wine with low levels of acid and alcohol. The palate does not have a marked varietal character and the juice is therefore often blended with Grenache,Garnacha, Mazuelo, Graciano and more ...

Also widely grown in Spain - (where it is thought to have originated) - and has the name Monastrell. Common aliases, probably due to early mis-identification, in Australia are Mataro, Morrastel and Graciano.
