Greco Bianco History White grape, of which the origin is not known with certainty. It 's a fact that its cultivation, known since the early days of Rome, took place on the slopes of Vesuvius.
GRECO BIANCO; (See Greco Nero below). GRECO NERO: White wine grape of ancient origin, probably Greek, grown extensively in southern Italy. A sub-variety is known as the Greco Bianco.
Among autochthonous white berried grapes of Campania are mentioned Asprinio, Falanghina, Fiano, Greco Bianco, Coda di Volpe, Pallagrello Bianco, Biancolella and Forastera.
