Juicy: Forward, approachable fruit, not necessarily found in a complex wine, but tasty and pleasing.
Lean: Yet another synonym for "acidic," this one suggesting a light wine with sharp acidity, a good food wine.

Juicy, high quality Austrian variety capable of making deliciously succulent reds and can be good when aged in oak and in blends with Cabernet Sauvignon. Known elsewhere as Limberger, Kekfrankos, Nagyburgundi, Frankovka, Vojvodina and Franconia.

Juicy and soft, filling the mouth without a trace of dry aftertaste. Usually attributed to sweet wine well balanced with acidity.

Big, dense, juicy fruit laid along miles of well-engineered structure and loads of Cabernet character make this a top wine pick vintage in and vintage out.

Makes fruity, juicy, soft centred red wines with a dash of earthiness. Most famous as Beaujolais.

Just about any juicy fruit such as melons or berries will make a good agua fresca.

Beaujolais: A juicy, flavorful red wine made from Gamay grapes grown in the region of the same name.
Beaujolais Nouveau: The first Beaujolais wine of the harvest; its annual release date is the third Thursday in November.

You'll taste similar flavors along with juicy black raspberry and black cherry, with hints of licorice, blackcurrant, bell peppers and a bit of coffee bean. A rush of ripe tannins, and medium acidity balance out the fruit before the wine finishes.

It's made to be drunk young and has juicy tastes of tropical fruits and melons on a foundation of minerals, which lends it a pleasant tartness. It's clean and refreshing. Plus, Muscadet is often drier and has less alcohol than many whites these days.

Vinifera grapes are not very juicy, but have uniformly tender pulp, easily removable seeds and firmly-adhered skins. They also tend to be high in acidity and lower in sugar.

When the grape is damaged by birds or after being infected with moulds such as Botrytis, the juicy parts of the grape are exposed to the air. The grape skin is home to natural populations of yeasts which ferment the exposed juice producing alcohol.

Riparia blooms in May or June and produces a small 6-15 mm blue-black grape with a bloom, seeded, juicy, edible, vinous-herbacous in flavor (not foxy), but usually sour.

Cinsault produces large grains, very sweet and juicy.
Although not well known, this variety contributes to the production of excellent wines such as Saint-Georges d'Orques (Languedoc).

The most export-focused of the ex-Eastern bloc countries, Bulgarian Cabernet Sauvignon took the supermarkets by storm in the 1980s, offering juicy, blackcurrant-laced wines at bargain prices.

The berries are usually round, thin-skinned, very juicy and sweet with a distinct varietal flavour. When overripe and allowed to become affected by botrytis cinerea (noble rot) the variety is the major component of the unique wines of Sauternes.

Alfrocheiro Preto is a Portuguese red variety particularly prominent in the Dão blend of grapes and which is noted for its good colour, juicy character and retaining some fresh acidity even when fully ripe.

Even the best bottlings from California's small growing area named Clarksburg are reasonably priced. Soft and juicy, this crowd-pleasing wine is ideal for chardonnay drinkers looking for something new.

Licorice and rose petals come through on the mid palate and an under-lying earthy complexity is evident all the way through. The tannins are powdery and subtle on this juicy ready to drink red.

Good options are crisp whites like riesling and pinot grigio. And yes you can drink red wine with white meat: pinot noir, beaujolais and zinfandel all have juicy, berry-ripe flavors that go well with turkey.

Plummy A wine with the juicy, fresh fruit flavors of plum
Polished A wine that is very smooth to drink, with no roughness in texture and mouthfeel. It is also well balanced.
