MUSCARDIN: Minor grape grown in the southern Rhone region of France and used to create color and body in red wine blends.
The red berried grapes allowed for the production of red Châteauneuf-du-Pape are Grenache Noir, Syrah, Mourvèdre, Cinsaut, Muscardin, Counoise, Vaccarèse and Terret Noir, whereas the white grapes are Grenache Blanc, Clairette, ...
Other red grapes include Cinsaut, Counoise, Mourvèdre, Muscardine, Syrah, Terret Noir, and Vaccarèse. White grapes include Grenache Blanc, Bourboulenc, Clairette Blanc, Picardin, Roussanne, and Piquepoul.
