Pedro Ximénez
An important Sherry grape, which produces an intensely sweet juice. It may be bottled as an unblended PX Sherry - so obviously a very sweet wine - or may be blended with other wines to produce a sweet style.

 


Pedro Ximénez
PX is at the peak of Sherry sweetness. It's dark, dense, lively, and sips slow and syrupy. It's made from the PX grape and often blended to sweeten other types of Sherries. A dessert wine with raisin-like aromas.

Pedro Ximénez is thought to be of Spanish origin and is still widely grown in Southern Spain.

PEDRO XIMÉNEZ: Red wine variety found in Australia and used, along with Palomino, to produce fortified wines. Has occasionally used alias name of Baxter's Sherry.

PEDRO XIMÉNEZ: White-wine producer variety widely grown in south-central Spain and mainly used in the production of sweet Sherry fortified wines.
