Petit Meslier

Petit Meslier is a rare white wine grape that is a minor component of some Champagne blends. It is valued for its ability to retain acidity even in hot vintages.

plantings of old varieties (except for existing vine by vine replacement) to be used in modern Champagne, but at least one winery creates a sparkling wine (legally called Champagne) from this variety blended with Fromenteau (Gris) and Petit Meslier.
