The best quality grapes are produced from mature low-yielding vines. The vines are fairly vigorous and benefit from a climate which ranges from cool to hot but do not cope well with excessive heat.

Of good quality, distinguished; a term applicable to a wine of any type.
Finesse
Distinction and grace in a wine.

Fruit: A key quality in wine; the winemaker's goal is to capture the true essence of the varietal.

FRUITY Used for any quality that refers to the body and richness of a wine made from good, ripe grapes. A fruity wine has an "appley", "berrylike" or herbaceous character. "Fruitiness" usually implies a little extra sweetness.

Oxidation
Oxidation is the reaction of oxygen and something else, such as wine.
