Ferdinand Regner has proposed that Pinot noir is a cross between Pinot meunier (Schwarzriesling) and Traminer, but this work has not been replicated.

Generally accepted to be identical to the Savagnin (Blanc) variety. (No other details other than the reference occurs in the research paper by Regner, F., et al., "Wein-Wissenschaft", 53(3) 114-18 1998).
