Wine Saint-EmilionSake

Saint-Julien (san joo-l'yan)
A wine producing commune in the middle of the Haut-Medoc region of Bordeaux, France. Some consider this the sweet spot of the Haut-Medoc. It produces wines that are not as hard as Saint-Estephe, nor as soft as Margaux.

Château Bridane (La) (Saint-Julien-Beychevelle, Saint-Julien)
Château Brousteras (des) (Saint-Yzans-de-Médoc, Médoc)
Château Cabans (des) (Bégadan, Médoc)
Château Cap de Haut (Lamarque, Haut-Médoc) ...

Wines produced in the Saint-Julien area are known - just like the ones of Margaux - for their elegance and smoothness.

Château Guadet Saint-Julien
Château La Marzelle
Château La Tour du Pin Figeac (Giraud-Bélivier)
Château La Tour du Pin Figeac (Moueix)
Château Petit Faurie de Soutard
Château Tertre Daugay
Château Villemaurine
Château Yon Figeac ...

Saint-Julien: Today Ducru Beaucaillou shows the best fruit and harmony. Beychevelle is very stylish and long. Gruaud Larose is now drying out. Margaux: Palmer is consistently powerful and rich.
