Teroldego

Wine TeranTerrain

Teroldego is a red grape variety grown primarily in the northeastern region of Trentino-Alto Adige/Südtirol, Italy. It may be related to Marzemino, but to my knowledge has never been praised in an opera.

Teroldego (red)
A red variety from Trentino, aka Teroldego Rotaliano, which is deep-hued and capable of producing lively, juicy, Italian Beaujolais-style reds.
Tinta Barroca (red) ...

Teroldego Rotaliano is the wine you would have if you crossed a Beaujolais Cru with a Chianti Classico - bright, ripe, fruity, and fun, yet with enough structure to be contemplated. If Chianti were less acidic, it would be Teroldego.

TEROLDEGO: (aka Teroldego Rotaliano). Red-wine grape grown in the Trentino-Alto-Adige region of Italy. Used to produce an agreeable, deep red, blackberry flavored varietal wine with good aging potential. Usually drunk young.

In the northern part of Trentino, in the plain of Campo Rotaliano, the absolute protagonist of wines is Teroldego, a red berried grape among the most interesting of the region.

Chocolate is an aroma and flavor that typically appears in wine made with the following grapes: Cabernet Sauvignon, Nebbiolo, Teroldego, and Shiraz.
A stack of chocolate, including milk chocolate, dark chocolate, and white chocolate.

In recent years, the popularity of Mediterranean cuisines and cultures has revived interest in Italian grape varieties like Sangiovese and Barbera and created new excitement for others such as Pinot Grigio, Arneis, Refosco and Teroldego.
