UVA RARA: (aka Bonarda Novarese). Minor grape found in the Piedmont region of Italy.
Gavi (white and sparkling; Cortese), Asti or Moscato d'Asti (white and sparkling; Moscato Bianco), Brachetto d'Acqui (red and sparkling; Brachetto), Gattinara (red; Nebbiolo, Vespolina, Bonarda) and Ghemme (red; Nebbiolo, Vespolina, Uva Rara).
BONARDA NOVARESE: Alternate name for Uva Rara grape. (See below). BONDOLA: Relatively rare indigenous red wine grape of southern Switzerland.
