Vintners Quality Alliance, or VQA, is a complex regulatory and appellation system which guarantees the quality and source of Canadian wines made under that system.
Vintner: Translates as wine merchant, but generally indicates a wine producer/or winery proprietor.
Vintner-grown: Means wine from a winery-owned vineyard situated outside the winery's delimited viticultural area.

Viognier: A grape variety used for white wine blends in the Rhone Valley of France. It has a distinctive, though difficult to describe, character.
