It is difficult to become knowledgeable about wine without becoming a wine snob. Something you do NOT want to do under any circumstances.

Wine cellar
A wine cellar is a dark, humid and cool storage underground room where bottles are kept for the purpose of ageing.

Wine cellar. This is an obvious one- if you have a wine cellar, worry no more! Just place the bottle of wine on the rack, close the door, and you are set.

Wine cellar - A cool, dark location in which wine is stored, often for the purpose of ageing.
Wine fault - Undesirable characteristics in wine caused by poor winemaking techniques or storage conditions.

Wine cellars (also called wine rooms if they are aboveground) are places designed specifically for the storage and aging of wine. In an active wine cellar, factors such as temperature and humidity are maintained by a climate control system.

A wine cellar is great but not necessary to store your wine in the correct environment. But since not everyone can afford a wine cellar or has space enough for one, you could opt for a wine rack instead.
