Winemaker
A winemaker is an expert who is in charge of all the steps of wine making at a chateau (winery).
Wine press
A wine press is a device used to extract grape juice from crushed grapes during wine making.

Winemaker - A person engaged in the occupation of making wine.
Wine-press - A device, comprising two vats or receptacles, one for trodding and bruising grapes, and the other for collecting the juice.

WINEMAKER
The person in charge of winemaking in a winery. The winemaker may be in overall charge of the whole company or only the fermentation, aging and bottling of a single wine in a large winery.

Flying winemaker
A term that sprang up in the 1980s to describe a group of winemakers, chiefly Australian, that parachuted (not literally!) into Old World regions to work with local co-operatives or vignerons to improve the quality of the wines.

Flying Winemaker
Globetrotting winemaker/consultant who has no set winery but operates in many, usually employing the latest technology and practices.

Flying winemakers
Much maligned breed of mainly Australian winemakers who, in their off season, fly off to somewhere in Europe and make wine the 'new world' way out of the indigenous grapes of the region.
