Ajapa is the Sanskrit term used to describe "total awareness" in Hindu philosophy. Ajapa is one way of practicing Japa (chanting of mantras), concentrating and developing awareness with the least effort.
Ajapa japa is a complete sadhana and through it one can have direct experience of samadhi.
AJAPA - continuous, spontaneous inner repetition of the mantra AJNA CHAKRA - see "agya chakra" ...
namajapa [repetition of a name of God]. na mam abhijananti tattvena [they do not know Me in the true principles]. [Gita 9.24] namarup [name and form].
Some call it 'Ajapa-Japa'. Great Devotee Hanuman's each and every cell in his body used to reverberate with the sacred mantra "Ram" .
