Anahata Chakra
Anahata Chakra is situated in the Sushumna Nadi (Sukshma centre). It has control over the heart. It corresponds to the Cardiac Plexus in the physical body. This corresponds to Mahar Loka. The Chakra is of deep red colour.

Anahata Chakra: The fourth chakra, also called the Venus Chakra or Heart Chakra is located behind the heart. It is the center of compassion, love and devotion.

One of the most important is anahata chakra, which some people prefer to call the heart centre. Its location is near the sternum in the spinal cord. The awakening of anahata chakra does alter the normal state of consciousness.

The mantra of the Anahata Chakra in the Kundalini system describes "this pair of swans which swim in the mind of the great, feeding on the unique honey of the Lotus (heart) that is the opening of understanding.

Most people intuitively select either the ajna or anahata chakras as their focal point. For some people deciding on a focal point is more difficult.

Yet another aspect I mention is that the sound ahhhh starts in our chests at the heart center (Anahata Chakra), moves upward with the ooooo sound in the throat center (Vishuddha Chakra), and ends with the sound mmmmm.

If the mind becomes more purified, it rises to the Anahata Chakra or centre in the heart, experiences bliss and visualises the effulgent form of the Ishta Devata or the tutelary deity.

While the external music is conveyed to consciousness via sensory organs in the form of the ears, in which mechanical energy is converted to electrochemical energy and then transformed in the brain to sensations of sound, it is the anahata chakra, ...

Join the palms together in front of the chest. Concentrate on standing straight, steady and in a prayerful attitude. This posture helps to induce a state of introversion, relaxation and calmness. It activates the anahata chakra. Exhale fully.

Jalandhara bandha moves the energy up to the third eye from the vishuddi (throat) chakra and down to the heart (anahata chakra) or air center.
