Astral body
This is the subtle extension or SUBTLE SPHERE of influence of the energetical subtle body. It is successfully used - amongst others - in the distant psychic percerption, where can be suddently transferred through ASTRAL DE-DUBING.

Astral Body: Yogic philosophy sees the body as a vehicle for the soul in its journey toward enlightenment and as such is really three "bodies". The astral body is the vehicle of the spirit corresponding with the mind.

The Nadis are nerve channels or tubes in the astral body through which the Prana flows. Asanas and Pranayamas are designed to purify the Nadis for the Prana to flow freely.

They are located in the astral body, but they have corresponding centers in the physical body also. They can hardly be seen by the naked eyes. Only a clairvoyant can see with his astral eyes.

The physical body is shaped in accordance with the nature of the astral body. The physical body is something like water, Sthula form. When water is heated, the steam or vapour corresponds to the astral body.

They say that the chakras belong to the "subtle body" or "astral body, " and go so far as to deny any correspondence to anything physical.

The actual union of Shiva and Shakti occurs not on a physical level but on the level of the astral body. The kundalini (shakti) becomes "awakened," travels up the sushumna and merges within the Sahasrara chakra (shiva).

It does not necessarily mean those who exist in a preta condition, in the astral body; but those who have abandoned their physical body and who have taken another physical body also receive our prayers.

The transmitter, the Yogi-Guru, sometimes enters the astral body of the student and elevates his mind through his power.

When you are asleep, your consciousness sleeps in your astral body, but in yoga nidra your consciousness is awake within. Yoga nidra performs two beneficial functions. It removes fatigue and invigorates the body.

The Yogi, being concerned with the subtle effect which diet has on the mind and astral body, avoids foods that are too stimulating. He prefers those that make the mind calm and the intellect keen.

One of the seven subtle bodies present in everyone. On realisation of the Sukshma Deh or the Astral body, a person can witness any event in the universe through divine vision.
