Bhakti Yoga
Bhakti Yoga is a system of Yoga in which love and devotion are given emphasis. Some of the Bhakti Yoga traditions do not preach the traditional Yoga asanas, pranayama, mudra or controlled meditation.

Bhakti yoga, one of the four main yogic paths to enlightenment, is the easiest of all to master. Hatha and raja yoga require much inner strength and physical health to reach one's goal. And jnana yoga requires a keen, subtle intellect.

What is Bhakti Yoga?
In Bhakti-Yoga, the emotional force of the human being is purified and channeled toward the Divine.

Bhakti Yoga
Bhakti is a Yoga of devotion or complete faith. This faith is generally in the God or supreme consciousness in any of the forms. It may be Lord Rama, Krishna, Christ, Mohammed, Buddha etc. It may be a Guru for his disciples.

At the lowest rung of the ladder of Bhakti Yoga comes the worship of elements and departed spirits. This is the lowest form of worship. Next comes the worship of Rishis, Devas and Pitris.

Bhakti Yoga - The Path of Devotion or Divine Love
This path appeals particularly to those of an emotional nature. The Bhakti Yogi is motivated chiefly by the power of love and sees God as the embodiment of love.

Bhakti Yoga ("Yoga of devotion"): The path of devotion; a path to union with the Divine based on the continual offering of love and the constant remembrance of the Lord.

Bhakti Yoga: Bhakti Yoga is the practice of devotional disciplines. It is union through devotion.

Bhakti yoga describes the path of devotion. Seeing the Divine in all of creation, bhakti yoga is a positive way to channel the emotions.

This form of exercise is based on 26 yoga postures and is practiced in a specially heated room. Bikram consists of around 26 movements which run in a set order over about 90 minutes.

Bhakti Yoga is the Yoga of devotion. Bhaki Yoga teaches a person to have a devotion to God and all things through devotion to life and love.

Bhakti Yoga is for those who are very sensitive and can attach themselves to a deity.

BHAKTI YOGA
The Yoga of love and devotion. The Way of Transcendent Love which sees the whole universe, animate and inanimate, as being pervaded by divinity. Also very much involved with service (refering Karma Yoga), and way of the heart.

The Bhakti Yoga Shastra, or the system of the practice of devotion to God, can be said to be in many respects deeper in its fathoming the nature of man than the intellectual feats of logical thinking.

This spontaneity of devotion, this bhakti yoga, is the culminating point which everyone should remember. When one wants to evolve in spiritual life, dry raja yoga will not do. Full, exciting kundalini yoga will not do.

Hamsa Gayatri can be used as a form of Bhakti yoga, with paramahamsa (soul) functioning as deity (Devata). The bija mantra of Hamsa is 'Ham', which can be used as a powerful form of japa (repetition) itself.

Principal Yogas are Karma Yoga, Bhakti Yoga, Jnana Yoga and Dhyana Yoga. Besides there are Nad Yoga, Laya Yoga, Kundalini Yoga, Swara Yoga and others.

Bhakti Yoga is the spiritual discipline of 'love and devotion' as a means for evolution, as expounded , for instance, in the Bhagavad Gita and other scriptures; the seminal work on Bhakti Yoga is the Naradha Bhakti Sutras, by Veda Vyasa.

These two"Karma Yoga and Bhakti Yoga"cannot be overemphasised.
Once the senses are controlled, and the heart purified, control of mind, concentration of its rays, and meditation become very easy.

Although his classif ications for meditation nearly follow the same pattern as those of Patanjali, some variance can be found in the f irst of the three groups, the sthula-dhyana, which seems very much in tune with Bhakti yoga, the yoga of devotion.

Surrender to God. One of the components of the path of kriya yoga as outlined by Patanjali in the Yoga Sutras. However, according to bhakti yoga, surrender to God alone can lead one to the highest state of realisation.

BHAKTI yoga aims at spiritual realization. It teaches divine love and devotion through emotional control and ethical conduct. For the bhakti yoga, divine love is the means to eternal bliss.
