Brahma (Sanskrit: ब्रह्मा; IAST:Brahmā) is the Hindu god (deva) of creation and one of the Trimurti, the others being Vishnu and Shiva.

 


Brahmacharya
Swami Satyananda Saraswati speaks on the concept of brahmacharya according to tantric and vedic traditions. Recorded in a Satsang at BSY Monghyr in December 1980.

Brahmacharya is the initial stage consisting of conservation of energy. In ancient days, it was believed that a person would live for a hundred years.

Brahmacharya
Brahmacharya has two main meanings. In the broad sense it means control of the senses or indriyas. More specifically it refers to celibacy or chastity.

Brahmacharya. Purity, chastity, nonlust (one of the yamas).
Brahman. The absolute. Divinity itself, God as creator. When Ralph Waldo Emerson's poem "Brahma" appeared in the Atlantic Monthly in 1857, most of the readers were bewildered.

Brahmacharya (continence) states that when we have control over our physical impulses of excess, we attain knowledge, vigor, and increased energy. To break the bonds that attach us to our excesses and addictions, we need both courage and will.

Brahman
The absolute Reality, pure consciousness or the Truth that lies beyond names and forms. The Brahman of the Upanishads transcends the concept of God as found in most religions, being a pure witness and the only Reality.

Brahmacarya -- Sexual responsibility.   Regarding others as human beings rather than as male and female bodies.   The spirit of this precept is conservation of energy for the purpose of spiritual practice.

Brahma ("he who has grown expansive"): The absolute Reality manifested as the active creator of the universe, personified as one of the three gods of the Hindu trinity.

Brahmacharya (Sexual Continence):
Yoga sadhaka should follow continence, but this does not mean that he should renounce family life and become a monk; such an action is not expected in Yoga science.

Brahmarandhra
"Brahmarandhra" means the hole of Brahman. It is the dwelling house of the human soul. This is also known as "Dasamadvara," the tenth opening or the tenth door.

Brahmacharya (Sense-control)
Brahmacharya is a movement toward the essential truth. It is used mostly in the sense of abstinence, particularly in relationship to sexual activity.

Brahmadvara: The opening where kundalini enters the spine.
Brahmanda Prana: Cosmic breath.
Brahmin: A priest or scholar; a member of the most privileged of the four social classes of Hinduism.

Brahmacharya - Celibacy. The first of the four stages of human life prescribed by the Vedantic scriptures:
1. Brahmacharya---the celibate student stage
2. Garhasthya---the married householder stage

Brahmacharya is not mere absence of sex. It includes avoiding over-indulgence of any type. But since sex is the most strong desirecausing the downfall of even wise people, brahmacharya is generally associated with sex.

Bhramari or Nasal Snoring is more difficult than the usual mouth snoring. But with with enough practice and patience, you will eventually be able to perform this technique.

Brahmacharya is from birth to about 21. It is a period of study, learning, and maturing. Commonly, there would be a great deal of spiritual study, as well as academic study during this time period.

BRAHMA:
In Indian cosmology and mythology, the creator of the universe and grandfather of the gods. In Shaivism, it is understood that Brahma is empowered to create by the will of the supreme Deity, Shiva. See also SHAIVISM; SHIVA.

Brahmacharya is very very essential Even in dreams you must be free from lustful thoughts. It requires long practice and careful watch over the mind and Indriyas.

Bandha is an act moved from the heart yearning for Divine Union - the merging with Divine Bliss and Completion (Union or Yoga).

Guru is Brahman Himself. Guru is Ishvara Himself. Guru is God. A word from him is a word from God. He need not teach any. Even his mere presence or company is elevating, inspiring and soul-stirring. The very company itself is self-illumination.

You will find in Vedanta Sutras: For the same reason, breath is Brahman. Prana is the sum total of all energy that is manifest in the universe. It is the sum total of all the forces in nature.

In order to place the doctrines of the Upanishad in an organized form, Rishi Badarayana composed the Brahmasutra. On the Brahmasutra of Badarayana, Nimbarka was one of the five principal commentators.

These two Ashwinikumaras had approached Prajapati seeking Brahma-vidya. Prajapati replied, "You are not fit, if I teach you Brahma-vidya, your head will burst.

The head is also said to be the seat of Brahman, the soul. A theory that gains credibility when we look at how the brain functions in regards to sensation; it processes all our experiences but does not actually feel them.

Simply because a man is born into a Brahman family doesn't, in itself, give the quality of a Brahman. I need not be studious, simply because I have become someone's student. Simply because I hold house doesn't mean I live a householder's life.

Mula bandha is said to cut through brahma granthi, the energetic knot of our resistance to change, which lies in mula-dhara chakra. On the physical level, practicing mula bandha creates attentiveness in the supportive musculature of the pelvis.

Kundalini is the Sound of God (Shabda Brahman). Mantras are Kundalini herself, for She is all language.

By forging a powerful depth of concentration and mastery of the body and mind, Hatha Yoga practices seek to still the mental waters and allow for apprehension of oneself as that which one always was, Brahman.

Also known as the pascimottana-asana or the brahmacharya-asana. The word pascima can mean behind, later, last or final but it literally means "western" as in the direction. Pascimottana thus means back-stretching posture.

Their central statement is that the Self of a human being is the same as Brahman, the Absolute or Supreme Consciousness. The goal of life, according to the Upanishads, is realization of this Identify.

other faiths are convinced that God has one divine/human form " and one form only. And then large numbers of Hindus worship numerous gods with divine and human attributes " who comprise different aspects of the one infinite source of all: Brahman.
