Buddhist Meditation: Meditation in Buddhism
Meditation is something that plays a part in virtually all religions, although some of them don't use the word meditation.

Buddhi. The intellect.
Chakras. Centers of radiating life force or energy that are located between the base of the spinal column and the crown of the head. Sanskrit for "wheels.

buddhi: The determinative faculty of the mind that makes decisions; sometimes translated as "intellect." Another translation is the higher mind, or wisdom.

Manas is the emotional mind. Ahamkara is the ego. Buddhi is the intellect. Mahat is cosmic intelligence. The first two are unable to digest experience according to Ayurveda.

Then, to speak in the language of Buddhist psychology, we move from what they call Kama-loka to Rupa-loka. The world we are living in is called Kama-loka, because it is the world of involvement by desires, positive as well as negative.
