Shitali - (Cooling Breath) Tongue is rolled and inhalation is done via mouth followed by Kumbhaka with Bandhas and then exhalation with nostrils. The effects of the Shitali are same as Sitkari Pranayama.

This type of yoga breathing technique is done by sticking the tongue out and curling the tongue so that the sides touch each other.

Sheetali Pranayama (also called Cooling Breath) has a calming and cooling effect upon the body and mind. It is especially useful in summer when several people experience restlessness due to heat.
