Deva : A deity or god.
Devi : The great mother Goddess; the beloved of Shiva who represents Shakti, or cosmic energy.

 


Deva
Celestial being, a bright being. According to the Upanishads, the powers of the senses are devas since they illuminate the objects of the world and bring them into the realm of experience and awareness.

Deva: demigod; great personality in devotion unto K r i s h n a, selfrealized to independent management.

Deva: Male deity; literally 'shining one'.
Devi: Female deity.
