Dravidians: The oldest known inhabitants of the Indian subcontinent. Archeological remains of their civilization have been found in the Indus River Valley dating back to 2700 BCE.
Six thousand years ago, India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Bhutan, Nepal, Tibet, Iran, Iraq - it was all one land, and in this area lived a tribe known as the Dravidians.
It was often suggested that the bearers of the IVC corresponded to proto-Dravidians linguistically, the breakup of proto-Dravidian corresponding to the breakup of the Late Harappan culture.
