Energy Flow
Our goal is to access, activate and increase the energy flow in our bodies. There are several ways to do this. The practice of Kundalini yoga incorporates the following principle techniques.

ENERGY CULTURE

Energy is wasted in too much talking, unnecessary worry and vain fear. Gossiping and tall-talk should be given up entirely. A real Sadhaka is a man of few words, to the point and that too on spiritual matters only. Sadhakas should always remain alone.

Chakras are energy centres that govern our mental, physical and emotional responses to life. When the chakras are balanced we experience a natural flow and flexibility that ripples out into the world around us.

Parama: Higher; supreme.
Parinama: Transformation; modification; change.
Paroksha: Direct.

Pradhana: Chief.
Prajna: Consciousnes; discrimination.

A center of energy located in the subtle body where the subtle nerve channels converge like the spokes of a wheel. Six major chakras lie within the central channel.

Shakti: Energy Force, feminine in nature, In Yoga, the muladhara chakra at the base of the spine houses the Shakti, or the feminine part of divine creative expression.

OJAS: Spiritual energy.
OM: The sacred monosyllable which symbolizes Brahman.
OORDHVARETA: A Yogi who has stored up the seminal energy in the brain after sublimating the same into spiritual energy.
